Jimmy “Buck” or “Gunny” Foster, age 79 passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018. Born in Houston, Texas, he was involved with Chaffey High School, and had retired from the US Marine Corp after over 20 years of service earning the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart award. He enjoyed scuba diving, piloting planes, treasure hunting, and was an accomplished poker player in Las Vegas.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Kay Carol Foster. Gunny was survived by daughter, Shelley Grubbs and husband Bill; son, Mark Windmeyer; granddaughter, Victoria Windmeyer; and sister, Louise Smith.
Visitation will be held 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will then be at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment with military honors will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
