Jimmie Mac Pickle passed away at the age of 83 in his home on October 17, 2016 in Houston, Texas following a prolonged illness. He was born on May 10, 1933 in Madden, Mississippi to his parents, Mildred and Jessie Pickle. He graduated from Edinburg High School in Mississippi. Jimmie met Bessie Lynn Hamil in Conroe, Texas and they were married on January 27, 1957. They were in their 60th year as husband and wife. Jimmie served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1961, serving his country in the Korean War. He worked as a Diesel mechanic and truck driver for Central Freight Line for 46 years and retired in 2002. He was also an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed spending time with family and neighbors.
Jimmie is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Bessie; sons, Johnny Pickle and wife Elaine, Jerry Pickle; grandchildren, Timothy Pickle, Chelsie Pickle, Sydney Pickle and Lindsey Pickle.
Visitation will be form 11:00am until 2:00pm Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm following visitation with interment at Brookside Memorial Park.
