Jesus Mendoza

Jesus Mendoza, 31, tragically passed away while working on June 21, 2022 in Houston, TX. Jesus or “Chuy” as he was known to family and friends, was born on October 5, 1990 in Visalia, CA to Fidel and Marta Mendoza. He was the youngest of four siblings.

Jesus graduated from Pasadena Memorial High School in 2009 and grew up in the Pasadena area. He later applied for a position with CenterPoint and was excited to establish his career as a Journeyman Lineman. Jesus worked for CenterPoint for almost 8 years and was also a member of the IBEW Local Union 66. Jesus was a dedicated lineman that frequently worked long nights that at times went into the mornings. Emergency weather events and weekend duties often consumed his time. He persevered through the difficult and dangerous line of work.

Jesus was a very hard-working man as he took great pride in providing for his family. He married the love of his life Victoria in January 2016 and they have two beautiful children Mila and Luca. His family was his world and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for them. He loved taking them on vacations, trying new restaurants, watching their soccer games, and just watching them grow.

Jesus enjoyed grilling, sports, and gathering with all of his friends and family. He was always so affectionate. Always hugging family and making sure he never left or hung up the phone without saying I love you. Above all things he enjoyed, he loved being a husband and father.

Jesus is survived by his wife Victoria and their two children Mila and Luca, his parents Fidel and Marta, his brothers Rolando, Miguel, his sister Martha and their spouses, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation for Jesus will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Sunday, July 3, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A committal service will occur Sunday, July 3, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
