Jerry Holden

On March 5, 2016 at 4:24 am, God picked a soldier from the battlefield and said to him, "soldier your is fought and your victory is won, come on up a little higher and be at rest. Jerry Holden the twelfth beautiful baby boy was born to the late Booker T. and Cora Evans Holden on July 19, 1962. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters Floretha Garner, Mary Sue LeBum and Mae Love; four brothers Booker Jr., Calvertis, Ransom and John Lewis Holden. He became a member of Grace Temple in 1993 and became a Deacon on April 29, 1998, ordained by our Pastor, Christopher W. Wright. Jerry served in this capacity until God called him home. Jerry married Sister Margarettie Kennedy Jones Holden. Together they raised three beautiful children: Leticia Polk, Mack Jones and Kevin Jones who were loved with much love, compassion and understanding. He wasn’t a stepfather, but a father who loved them and showed them his love with compassion and understanding. Jerry leaves to love and keep his beautiful and wonderful memories a loving, compassionate and humble wife Margarettie Holden; three children Leticia (Tommy), Mack (Tracie) and Kevin; six grandchildren Jaden, Shamyra, Chase, Jakorey, Mason and Averi; two godchildren Crista and Christopher; three sisters Rosie Lilly (Robert), Corrine Garner and Cora Holden; one brother Eddie Holden (Emma) and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
