Jennifer Rachac

Jennifer Horton Rachac went home to be with Jesus on May 14, 2020, after a courageous battle with leukemia. Her unwavering faith in her Lord, her healing and the strength He gave her daily remained strong and steadfast until He took her home. Jennifer, cherished daughter of Wayne and Evangeline Horton, was born in Houston, Texas. Spending most of her life in Houston, she had short moves to East Texas and Tulsa, Oklahoma when she was growing up. Excited to join the ranks of the working world, she was more than happy to leave her school days behind. Jennifer was employed for more than 30 years with El Dorado Insurance Agency in a career that she excelled at and enjoyed. It was there she met her loving husband, Bob Ring. Together, they enjoyed weekly date nights, relaxing at their farm in the country and spending fun times with their grandchildren. She retired as Human Resources Director to focus on her treatment in September of 2019, but her favorite title of all was “JJ” to her grandbabies that she adored. Jennifer also cherished her bi-annual trips with her best friend (chosen Sister), Mel, to their favorite places like the wine country. Jennifer lit up any room with her beauty, wit, and her smile and spread joy and laughter everywhere she went. We were blessed with her huge heart and capacity to love. She was so blessed to have been loved well her whole life.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Bob, his son, Josh, daughter-in-law, Lindsey, and their children, Jacob and Layla, his son, Andy, daughter-in-law, Lisa, and their children, Blake and Penelope. She is also survived by her loving parents, Wayne and Evangeline, her sister, Stephenie, brother-in-law, Bruce, and her very best friend, Mel. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Brittany, Lindsay, Amanda, Evan and Jackson. Jennifer was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy, and sister, Gretchen.
