Jenn Wong Luong

She was born in Hai Phong, Vietnam. She immigrated to Manlius, NY in 1982. She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved gardening, time spent with her loving husband Anson Luong, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jenn is survived by her husband, Anson Luong of 70 years of marriage. She leaves behind 9 surviving children; Selina Su and husband Tony, and children William and Lisa; Helen Vien and children Gee and his fiancé April and Aleta and her husband Seth; Ahn Luong and husband Chi Quien, and children Elizabeth, Cynthia, Eric, and Jason; Sam Luong and his wife Mandy, and children Danny and Kevin; Henry Luong and his wife Judy, and children Alex and Madeline; Frances Ontiveros and her husband Orlando, and children Anthony and Emily; Danica Teng and husband Daniel: Simon Luong and his wife Tamiko, and children Moriah and Kailah; and Anjelica Garza and her husband Carlos, and children Damacio and Logan. She also leaves behind great grandkids; Aaron Daughenbaugh, Kingsley de la Cruz, Kai Vien, Alexander de la Cruz, Samantha Daughenbaugh, and Christina de la Cruz.

Mom was full of life. She would tease Dad all the time about his old crush. She was sharp and remembered everyone’s birthday, all the way to the great grandkids. She was so loving and forgiving. She always smiled when we came through the door and offered the grandchildren and great grandchildren candy or chocolate pie. She would always make the best dishes and save the best part, the drumsticks, for her kids. Mom always saved the best for everyone. She had a blessed life and family. She enjoyed family gatherings and would always make enough for everyone to take home. Even as her health deteriorated, she would always ask the kids to cook extra for everyone.

“For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: ‘Death is swallowed up in victory. ‘O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?’” 1 Corinthians 15:53-55
