Jeff was born in Melrose, Massachusetts on September 4, 1955 to Richard Cyrus Burke and Dorothy Agnes Catyb Burke. He had five siblings, Jackie, Donna, Greg, Dennis and Darlene. His first marriage was to Blanch Pontiff. His second marriage was to Teresa Burke on April Fool’s Day of 1990 in Irving, Texas.
Jeff had many hobbies, including golf, listening to music ranging from The Beatles to the great Willie Nelson, Nascar (especially Dale Earnhardt), the New Orleans Saints (he actually attended the very first game!) and collecting anything red, white and blue; he was very patriotic and was extremely proud to be an American.
His family and friends will always remember him for his giving spirit, his strong belief in our constitution and his wonderful sense of humor. He never asked for anything in return, and he was not afraid to share his pride for his family, his country or his football team!
He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa; his children, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Debra and husband, Jeffrey, Raymond and wife, Allison, and Dustin; his grandchildren, Emily, Tiffany, Gregory, Malachi, Devon, Loryn, Addisyn and Kaylee; his siblings, Jackie, Donna, Dennis and Darlene; his nieces and nephews, Renee, Kris, Chad, Tracey, Stacy, Matthew, Joshua, Daniel and Christopher; his mother-in-law, JoAnn; and many others through marriage.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Dorothy; his brother, Greg; and his nephew, Phillip.
