Jean was born on January 21, 1934 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Joseph and
Jennie Milewski. She was the youngest of 6 siblings and happened to live the
longest.
She left Minnesota and moved to Houston in the 50’s to live with her sister, Mary.
She attended Massey Business College in 1957 and worked at American General
Insurance Company. She met her husband, Jerry Wayne Thames, in Houston and
they were married September 13, 1958 for 36 blissful years.
She was an inspiration, having wet macular degeneration for nearly 30 years,
being unable to see and managing to live alone up until months before her
passing. She was proud of her Polish heritage, saying she was a thoroughbred.
She was one fancy lady with a joyful attitude always ready to go to lunch and
shopping.
Her family and many long-time dear friends will miss her greatly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wayne Thames, her parents,
Jennie and Joseph Milewski, and her 6 siblings, John, Mary, Walter, Richard,
Raymond, and Ernie.
