Jean was born in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana to Joe and Minnie Moffett on October 28, 1933. She graduated from Pleasant Hill High School where she was a cheerleader. She also attended the University of Houston.
Jean’s many talents included being a creative artist and s scratch golfer. She was instrumental in starting the Bear Creek Women’s Golf Association. She was past president of the Houston Chapter of the ADPi Parents Association as well as past president of the Maplewood Garden Club.
Jean had many friends and loved to spend time with them over countless lunches and charity events.
Jean is preceded in death by her parents, brother William (Doyle) Moffett and sister Marlane Youngblood.
She is survived by her husband, Hughes Tenison; daughter, Karen Tenison Watson, son-in-law, Marl P. Watson; grandchildren, Lyndsey Jean Watson, Terrell Hannah Watson and Mack Hughes Watson; nieces, Debbie Eddleman and Amanda Eddleman; nephews, Trey Rains, John Verner and Tommy Fitzpatrick.
