It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely death of our beloved father, Jawdat (“Jules”) Raouf Haddad on Sunday, October 15, 2017, due to a heart attack. He is survived by his children & their spouses, Raouf Hadad (Cecilia), Sahar Mutammara (Atheel), & Rena Dexter (Curtis); nine grandchildren, Andrew, Isabela, Julian, & Emma Hadad; Matthew, Alexander, & John Mutammara; and Brady & Austin Dexter; brother and sister Naji & Basima Haddad; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and many friends. Jawdat was preceded in death by his wife Amal Rassam, parents Raouf Haddad & Fadhila Shaya; and his brothers, Dr. Jamil, Edward, & Antwan Haddad.
Jawdat was born July 1, 1933 in Mosul, Nineveh, Iraq. He studied under the American Jesuit Fathers at Baghdad College and received a Bachelor in Business Administration. He was a resident of Kuwait for 25 years where he was a Regional Manager for Wyath Pharmaceutical company, and has resided in Houston, Texas since 1990.
Jawdat was deeply devoted to his family and his faith. His family & friends will dearly miss his kind spirit, his unique humor and contagious joy, the many loud Christmas toys for his grandchildren, his keen sense of card playing and the witty reveling that ensued his triumphs.
Flowers may be sent directly to the funeral home Chapel of Eternal Peace. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations made in Jawdat's name to Our Lady of the Cedars Maronite Church.
