James Lyon Vehslage

James Vehslage was born on January 7, 1985 in Tomball, Texas and passed away August 15, 2019 in Houston, Texas. He attended the Klein School District where he enjoyed playing soccer, baseball and his favorite, basketball. James found a love of the drums at the early age of 10 and continued playing drums until his resting hour. A graduate of Klein High School in 2003, he also attended Austin Community College until he began his music career. He played drums for several Texas bands such as For Those Who Know, She, Sir, and Football, etc. An avid Houston Rockets fan, his love for them was only surpassed by his love for his friends. James is survived by his parents, Charles and Susan Vehslage, a brother, Richard, and numerous family members. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Houston Food Bank or Houston SPCA.
