James Allen Pawlak, 70 of Spring TX, passed away November 27th 2023. Jimmy was born in the Houston Heights on July 24th 1953 to Mary and Theodore Pawlak, the youngest of five children. He attended Christ the King for elementary school, Hamilton middle school, finally graduating from John H. Reagan high school in 1971. Jimmy was a quiet person who did not talk much unless it was about sports mainly any Houston team, and though he enjoyed most sports baseball was his favorite, closely following the Astros. He would always talk to his sister Paulette about certain players and while she didn’t keep up with baseball or watch games like he did, she would just listen and agree with him while also giving her a hard time when they would watch anything together because of her loud reactions to scenes of the action shows he loved. Jimmy also enjoyed reading Western books, doing crossword puzzles(in which he was very good at), and playing dominos with Tommy Watts, Lynette Lange, Lloyd Bliznak, and Mary Pawlak. He also loved going to his niece Lynette’s house to watch Astros and Texans games, playing solitaire after eating his breakfast, and was a very talented pool player often playing in leagues with his nephews Kenneth and Brian. Jimmy worked many years for Cameron Iron Works, followed by Southern Floral and Boar’s Head finishing his working years as a handy man. Though they later divorced, he was married to Cindy Baker remaining close friends with her and her 3 daughters Barbera, Ida, and Shawna through the years. He is preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Mary Pawlak, brother and sister Alfred Pawlak and Irene Watts, brother in laws Gene Wilson and Richard Kominczak, nieces Monica Kominczak, and Michelle Hall, great niece Brittney Hall, niece in law Kathleen Kominczak, great nephews Graham Lange and Justin Cheatham, ex wife Cindy Baker and best friend Jerome Walkoviak. He is survived by his sisters Paulette Kominczak and Esther Wilson, nephews Kenneth Kominczak, Lance Wilson, Stephen Watts, and Brian Wilson, nieces Lynette Lange, Melissa Wearden, Gina Cheatham, and Denise Watts, and brother and sister in law Thomas Watts and Mary Pawlak along with many other relatives and friends.
