James B. Humble

James B. Humble of Richmond, Texas entered into rest on April 18, 2019. He was born in Mowata, Louisiana on March 13, 1926 to Barney Humble and Mattie Miller. James was married to Gertrude Pellerin for 48 loving years and is survived by their seven children, sixteen grandchildren, and twenty six great grandchildren. James was retired from the United States Navy where he served in three wars and retired with the rank Chief Petty Officer. James was a member of the Masonic Temple and The Shriners.

James was an amazing, loving man who’s passions included food, cooking, gardening, his faith, and most of all his family. His surviving children are Glenn Humble, Linda Mariott, Wanda Maye, Wayne Humble Sr., Pamela Hunicutt, Garry Humble, and Roger Humble. His grandchildren are John Humble, Susanne Krueger, Justin Morgan, Rick Yarbrough, Jacob Yarbrough, Christina Humble, Wayne Humble Jr., Nina Humble, Desarey Schliesman, Andy Vasquez, Victor McDaniel, Jason Humble, Arielle Wolf, Allison Humble, Bradley Humble and Brandon Humble.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Thursday April 25, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. inside the Chapel of American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. The Celebration of Life service will take place at 12:00 p.m. after which he will be escorted to the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038, where he will be laid to rest with honors.
