James Carlin Goode

James was born to John and Fern Goode, October 23rd, 1949, in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Jones High School in 1969 and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Houston. He married Jeannette Belcher in 1975, and they lived together in Missouri City, Texas. Together they raised two children, Christopher Carlin Goode, and Meredith Grace Goode.

In 1998, He married Sheila Sanders, and they lived together in Sugar Land, Texas until her passing in 2007. Together they raised two children, Asa Hansen Goode, and Maris Roxanna Goode.

He is survived by his brother and wife, John and Pam Goode, sister and husband Beverly and Jim Hines. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Melissa Goode, daughter and son-in- law, Meredith and Carson Bryant, son Asa Goode and daughter Maris Goode. In addition, his four grandchildren, Preston Goode, Isabella Goode, Lillian Bryant and Owen Bryant and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by John and Fern Goode, (Father/Mother), and Donna Koziol, (Sister).

James worked as a Pressure Vessel Designer for Fluor for over forty years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, four dogs and friends, woodworking, and the outdoors.

A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, January the 4th, starting at 1 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Reception will follow immediately after. Pastor Bill Cole of Sagemont Church will officiate the ceremony.
