James passed away peacefully Saturday, February 4, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Pat, daughter, Pam and his cat, Pepper, many relatives in his birth state of New Jersey, and cousins, John of Houston and Charlie of New York. His parents, Alice and Charlie preceded him in death.
After serving in the Air Force, he enjoyed a long career as Manager in the overhead crane industry.
James had a quiet demeanor and talent of an artist. He loved a good book or almost any sporting event on TV. He especially enjoyed watching football and golf with his cousin, John. Family was very important to him and he travelled home to New Jersey often to visit.
He was very proud of his daughter and told everyone about her accomplishments. They have a beautiful bond.
He also loved to eat and really appreciated good food whether it was eating out or home cooked.
James enjoyed museums, especially the Metropolitan in New York and Victoria and Albert in London. He visited every museum he considered important in almost every city we visited and there were many.
He enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader of books on the Civil War and History and had traveled to many battle sites.
His was a life well lived and he is greatly missed.
