James Edward Crump

Mr. James Edward Crump was the seventh child born to the parents of George and Alma Crump.  Mr. Crump was born October 19, 1957 in Houston, Texas and departed this life February 7, 2016.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.  He accepted the Lord at an early age.  He became a member of New Light Christian Center Church under the leadership of Bishop I. V. Hilliard.  He met and married Rosa Culbreath on June 14, 1999.  Mr. Crump served faithfully on the usher board for seventeen years until his health challenge.  Mr. Crump touched the lives of many people and he was so loved by all especially his nieces and nephews.   Mr. Crump is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Savannah Baines and one brother Clarence Crump.  Mr. Crump leaves to cherish his memories a beautiful and devoted wife of 16 years Mrs. Rosa Crump; children nine sons: Antonio Baines (Morisa) of Houston, Texas, Clarence Baines of Houston, Texas, Edward Baines of Houston, Texas, James Baines of Pharra, Texas, Cedrick Culbreath (Teawanna) of Okinawa, Japan, Rochell Gabriel III (Marsha) of Houston, Texas and Langley D. Gabriel of Houston, Texas and two daughters: Shante Lopez (Andrew) of Houston, Texas and Joyce Baines of Houston, Texas; five sisters: Susie Edgar of Houston, Texas, Alberta Morning (Ollie - deceased) of Houston, Texas, Juanita Quincy Powell (Sonny) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Pearline Crump of Houston, Texas and Jeanette Henry (Michael) of Houston, Texas; four brothers: George Crump (Shirley) of Houston, Texas, Minister Johnny Crump (Debra) of Houston, Texas, Roosevelt Crump (Elexcia) of Mesa, Arizona and Nathaniel Crump (Karen) of Houston, Texas; one aunt: Magnolia Willis of Houston, Texas; mother-in-law: Florence Willis of Jackson, Louisiana; sister-in-law: Annie Moore of Houston, Texas; brother-in-law: Pastor Calvin D. Willis (Sally) of Jackson, Louisiana and a host of nieces, nephews and the New Light Church family.
