He was born in Houston, TX on February 8, 1938. James Blasingame graduated from Stephen F Austin High School in 1956, and received a degree in Business from Sam Houston State in 1960.
He was married to Carolyn James from 1960-1975, and Donna Fisher from 1984 to present.
James was in the Army National Guard from 1961-1964, and had a career in large and small appliances for General Electric for 27 years.
He had a passion for camping, fishing, sailing, traveling, canoeing, photography and music.
He was survived by his 4 children, Shanna Blasingame and Danny Blasingame from his first marriage, Jason Blasingame and Kenneth Blasingame from his second marriage.
Visitation will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home 12800 Westheimer Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 12:00pm followed be a graveside at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
