Jacqueline Ann Puccio

Jacqueline Puccio passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 18, 2024, after a seven year battle with cancer. She was born on January 26, 1971 to Henry & Catherine Flood, in Glasgow, Scotland. The family moved to Houston, Texas two years later to start a new life.

Jacqueline worked in insurance for most of her life. With many years of hard work, she became the senior claims adjuster for Texas at Amerisafe. She was incredibly precise in her work, and excelled in catching details that most others missed. Her strong will and strong wit made her inspirational and aided her in her field, making her a role model and force to be reckoned with.

Jacqueline was a generous soul in both providing for and making ample time to spend with her family. She regularly planned trips for everyone to spend time together, and found many fascinating exhibitions and activities through the years. She had a knack for finding an event that everyone would love, while still always finding something new. She was also a fantastic gift-giver, and gave from the heart.

Despite her cancer diagnosis in 2016, Jacqueline never stopped living her life. While the treatments were difficult and had harsh side effects, she remained steadfast, and continued to be a rock for her family. She prioritized quality of life before anything else, and was insistent on seeing as much of the world as she possibly could with the time she had left.

Jaqueline was deeply passionate about the outdoors. Most of her excursions were oriented around nature, and she loved camping. She spent many hours sitting in a camping chair, reading a good book by a beautiful lake. She also loved animals, especially dogs, and made house pets out of several poorly behaved strays.

Jacqueline is survived by her husband Scott, daughters Cara & Meagan Puccio, nieces Kate & Sarah Evans, older brothers James & Peter Flood, as well as the Puccio family.
