He was born in Houston, Texas on July 2, 1976, to parents Rudolph and Cynthia Ann Barela. Jacob graduated from Douglas MacArthur Senior High in 1997. He had a Passion for his 2 children, fishing, and hunting. He was a huge sports fanatic of Houston Astros, Texans, and Rockets. He was an avid researcher into his ancestors and the indigenous tribes of Texas and other various tribes throughout North America.
He was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents, numerous aunts and uncles, numerous cousins and great niece Jurnee Morales.

A committal service will occur Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039.
