Thank you so much for inviting me to take part in this Memorial.  Having grown up down the street, I had the opportunity to witness Jackson grow up to be a fine young man.  Be ever so proud of who your son had become.  He touched the lives of everyone who got to know him.  This is very apparent.  Consequently, Jackson was loved by many.  I will greatly miss him.

Jackson. Although I only got to know you in a little over two years, you became more than just a friend. You became family. With your presence not only did you bring beautiful smiles and laughter, but you brought memories that will last a lifetime. I will never be able to make Dee smile the way you did. You motivated each other to succeed further than anyone can imagine. The bond you two have will never compare to any other.  I can still remember like it was yesterday when you met your Godson for the very first time. Your smile was priceless. With every chance you came to visit. Please remember this as you attempt to deal with this difficult task of acceptance.  We are heartbroken over the loss of this wonderful guy.  My son Marty loved Jackson like a brother. The last time that I saw Jackson, he came by the house dressed in a suit, looking very handsome.  He proudly told me about his plans for the summer in France.  I was so happy and proud of him.  I can only imagine what you guys are feeling right now, but I pray that you find comfort in knowing that Jackson was loved by many.  God will intervene and help you through this process.  You guys are in our thoughts and prayers daily.

Hey Brother, it's simple. I miss you man.  We spent a lot of time together when you first got to LSU and it's been a pleasure to hear you tell me of your accomplishments as time passed on.  I want to make sure you know that although you may be gone, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.  There was and there WILL ONLY EVER BE: one Jackson Murray. Words cant explain how I feel. Seeing you in Houston one weekend, and your gone the very next. I only knew you a short while, but in lieu of the time, there were some great memories. I wont forget the formal chat we had getting away from certain people at the bars, and later celebrating Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

You will be missed my friends, and your brothers miss you. Ill keep an eye out, but you were a great guy and will surely be missed. Keep a watch out for all of us my friend.

Each day that goes by, I cant stop thinking about all of our memories. It was supposed to be the 3 of us graduating and "big dawging" everything we did. I thought it'd be hard to think of the good stuff with all of this going on, but a lot of us realized that most of our amazing memories as a Phi Delt include you being the center of that smile. Dear Jackson, Although we never got to know you because of distance, your Dallas cousins were always proud to hear about you.  We know what a fine young man you were.  I'd always hoped that you and my son (your first cousin twice-removed) would be able to get together, because he, too, loves all things about France and is near-fluent.
