Kelly was a kind and loving soul.  He will be missed.  Hugs and prayers to his family.

I am writing this with a sad heart.  I got to know JK in 2019 and we  immediately became a friend.  He was such a great friend, father and just a overall gracious person.  JK you will be missed by many.  I am praying for the family....

Kelly helped me through many things after my dad passed. Him & I became close & worked through business things & life situations here & out of Stokes Hardware. I truly will miss you Kelly! I know you're enjoying life already in the great upstairs & watching all the people you love & care for.

My deepest condolences to the family of J. Kelly Mowry. Kelly was such a compassionate gentleman with all who interacted with him. He shared his love, generosity, and intellect with such warmth. He always wished me a yearly "Happy Birthday". This time of year brings beautiful memories our family shared during the Christmas and his birthday celebrations at the Atascocita Country Club. The Christmas spirit was such a joy, blessed with food and comrade. He would love to open his wrapped gifts with such precision without a tear to the paper. I pray for his soul to be entered into rest and for the family to find comfort during this time.

Shocked, saddened and feeling lost at the passing of JK. He was a larger than life personality in our industry. He was so dedicated to the industry, always at the GAC meetings, always traveling to discuss and defend the industry in front of the numerous government agencies and always concerned for all of us in the industry. But more than his dedication was his heart which was as big as his beloved Texas. He always remembered my birthday and we often chatted about hunting, ranching and our children. How I will miss JK!

So sorry to hear about J. Kelly.  He was a great, compassionate, intelligent person and a true gentleman that I called friend.  He will be truly missed.  He should be buried with his son's calvary saber, which he treasured.

So sorry for your loss.  Kelly was a great guy and I enjoyed visiting with him.  I was always impressed how he would remember my birthday and call me.  I will miss our conversations.

The room would light up when Kelly entered. Full of charm, warmth and great conversation,  Kelly was the unforgettable one. He loved easily and was easy to love. He loved his kids, his dogs, and his friends. In fact, he loved life. He will be missed by all of us. I’ll miss his frequent calls and visits. Rest in peace my friend.

Kelly was the best neighbor I’ve ever had, the best neighbor anyone could have. I can’t imagine another like him: cheerful, generous, affectionate, optimistic, energetic (he was a perpetual motion machine!), devoted to his family, including his beloved canine companions. I remember the time, years ago before we had a lawn service, we came back from a vacation and Kelly was mowing our front yard. He could never stop leaf blowing at his property line but instead also did the sidewalks on either side of him.  He helped me build the first fence we had around our back yard. When it finally blew down during the hurricane this past summer he helped our son Geoff clear the debris while we were out of state. Everyone on the block has stories like that. He was a wonderful guy. Mo and I will miss him so much.

My deepest condolences to J.Kelly’s children, grandchild, and family. I met J.Kelly 43 years ago and shared some of the most beautiful, fun, heartwarming, and loving memories of my life. I will miss you, sweet man.
