Harvey Gene Wagner

Harvey Gene Wagner, 82 of Houston Texas passed away on August 22, 2021. Harvey was born in Round Top/Carmine Texas on June 10, 1939 to Augusta and Albert Wagner. He graduated high school in Round Top/Carmine and after high school, Harvey proudly served in the Texas National Guard. On September 24, 1961 he married the love of his life, Patsy Lehmann Wagner. They had three children, Cheryl, Crystal and Harvey Gene Wagner Jr.

Harvey attended Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Houston. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, playing dominoes and an occasional game of cards, but mostly he loved his family. Harvey was known for his love of barbecuing and the huge garden he raised and maintained in Somerville, Texas.

Harvey is survived by his children, daughter Cheryl Ford and spouse Luckie, daughter Crystal Dietert and spouse Mark, and son Harvey Gene Wager Jr. Harvey was the proud grandfather of Russell Ford and spouse Sarah, Ashley Ford and spouse Kimberly, James Lenart lll, Jayme Lenart and Dalton Dietert. He was the proudest G-Pa of Mason Hernandez, Wesley Ford, Layne Ford and Cody Ford. Harvey is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Vernell Jaster, and his wife Patsy Lehmann Wagner.
