Guillermina R Zuniga

Guillermina was born to Angel Rodriguez and Esperanza Salas a Village called in Las Lomas in, Coyuca de Benitez, Gro about 30 minutes away from Acapulco, Gro. She married at a young are, 19, to Alejandro P. Zuniga. The couple migrated to the United States in the early 70s to seek better opportunities for themselves and their family. In America, Guillermina fulfilled many of her dreams. She received her GED and finished Cosmetology school to eventually opening her own Beauty Salon and became a vendor in a Houston market. Guillermina was able to become a great provider and role for her 5 children.

Guillermina is preceded in death by her Mother, Esperanza Salas; Father, Angel Rodriguez;

brother, Ismael Rodriguez and first-born child, Aaron Zuniga.

She is survived by her husband, Alejandro P. Zuniga, and her five children and grandchildren.

Daughter, Maria M. Alvarez- Husband, Willy Alvarez and 2 sons- Andres D. Alvarez and Joshua I. Alvarez.

Son, Alejandro Zuniga Jr.- Wife, Denise A. Zuniga, children- Giovanni J. Zuniga, Xiomara I. Zuniga, Elijah X. Zuniga, and Zayden A. Zuniga.

Son, Christopher Zuniga and son - Brayden T. Zuniga.

Daughter, Margarita Zuniga- partner- Michael P. Ruiz and daughter M. Lily S.

Son, Abraham Zuniga- Wife, Gabby Alvarez and 2 sons- Aaron Zuniga and Matthew Zuniga.

Guillermina enjoyed knitting in her spare time and spending time with her dogs. She had a great talent for business and anything she poured her heart into, she always managed to achieve great things!

Guillermina was raised Catholic, and later she became a devoted member of the Christian church, where she was able to find happiness and joy in being part of a community who supported her through her spiritual journey. Her favorite scripture was Psalms 91. 1/11/1955 -- 9/23/2024
