Gina A Wood

Gina Archer Wood was born January 24, 1967 in Houston, Texas to late mother Carol A. Ingram and father Arthur P. Archer. She passed away peacefully on Monday January 17, 2022 at the age of 54. She was a proud daughter, loving mother and grandmother, and a wonderful friend.

Many did not know that Gina was diagnosed with stage IV kidney disease in the summer of 2020. She faced this diagnosis with courage, and grace. She did peritoneal dialysis at home every night from July 2020 until she passed. Since being diagnosed with kidney disease many other health problems were discovered. Her weakened state ultimately was too much for her body to handle.

We will always remember her caring heart, but most of all how selfless she was. Gina spent her time making blankets, crocheting, and making clothes for those she loved. She dedicated her life to the well being of her children. Of all the achievements in life her greatest was being a mother. She was a strong woman and faced every challenge life threw at her with finesse.

She was preceded in death by her mother Carol A. Archer and two brothers Jeffrey Paul Archer and Alvin Lee Archer.

She is survived by father Arthur P. Archer and wife Mary Archer, daughters Sara Bryant, Lyndsay Cross, and sons Nathan Wood, Jayden Cross, grandchildren Tyler Wood, Rosalee Wood, and Bayleigh Wood, and beloved extended family members.

A memorial service for Gina will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 at 6:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
