George grew up in Little Rock. Loved it, but one day he was told that he was moving to Texas. He was so excited. He was going to see real cowboys. He was such a huge western fan. Even though he did not see the traditional cowboy, he grew to love Texas and found it to be his true home.
George worked and loved delivering ice cream to all the stores. It was a way that he knew that he was putting smiles on all the children’s faces. He was a very kind and sweet man. Always a smile on his face and would do whatever possible to help others. To have known him and even more so, if you were his friend, you were better to of been part of his life.
George regrettably did not have any children of his own. However, the love he shared with many Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews, Great-Great Nieces and finally he had the joy of Great-Great-Great Nieces. Too many to name here, but we all share in our love and admiration of this wonderful man. All of us have been blessed to share in his life.
George was preceded in death by his parents William and Emelia Smith, his brother James Smith and his sister Deloris Sauls. All loved and are missed. Now together again in heaven welcoming him home to their arms.
