George B. Rector

George was born December 28, 1944, in Fort Worth, Texas and was adopted June 21, 1946, by Paul Rector and Mariella Matthias Rector. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1964. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged February 1971.

He is survived by: Dolly Crow, cousin. He also leaves to cherish his memory Terry King, Sherry Daniels, Ken Matthias, Jim Matthias, and Wendy Foster.

He was preceded in death by James Stephen Matthias, cousin.

George worked as a Respiratory Therapist in various hospitals in Baytown for about 4 years and then worked as a Travel Agent for many years after that. He enjoyed travelling and good food. He especially liked to gather friends together and celebrate.

A Graveside Service is scheduled for Saturday, August 06, 2022, 1:00pm at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, Texas. The family would also like to thank Jerry & Martha Eppler, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Medrano, Mr. and Mrs. David Jelly and Diane and Sonia for all of their kindness and support during George’s illness.
