George found solace and strength in his faith, attending church on most Sundays until it was no longer possible; at which point, he began watching Sunday services live on television.
All throughout his life, George had a unique charisma, who never missed a chance to dress sharply, complete with his signature alligator shoes. He had a love for many different genres of music especially for the blues, Motown and gospel. Some of his favorite artist were Bobby Blue Bland, Aretha Franklin and Sam Cooke.
