George G. Edwards, 93 of Spring, Texas passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020. He was born September 15, 1927 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Henry and Anna Mae (Gordon) Edwards. George or better known as “Dancing George” was a kind, friendly man who loved to have a good time, he enjoyed dancing going on cruises and always a snappy dresser. He served and played the trumpet in the United States Army and received an Honorable discharge in April 1947 from Fort Sam Houston.
He is survived by his sons, Keith Edwards and wife, Dennise and Gordon Edwards and wife, Randi; daughters, Lisa Bellamy and Susan McCuistion and husband, David; grandchildren, Julia Hickmon and husband, Alan and Kamen Edwards; Jennifer Freund and husband, Tony; and Hannah Edwards along with great grandchildren, Jade Edwards, Morrigan Edwards, Mark Freund and Rose Hickmon. He is also survived by his special friend, Glenda Rogers along with many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Anna Mae Edwards and his life partner for over 30 years, Norma Smith.
