Geneva Simmons

Geneva Terry Simmons passed away September 23, 2010 in Houston. She was born July 23, 1925 in Littlefield, TX and was a long time resident of Dallas. Geneva is preceded in death by her husband, Belvin A. Simmons M.D. and her son, Bob Simmons. She is survived by daughter, Susan Simmons of Franklin, NC; son, Steve Simmons of Houston; and two grandchildren, Jeff and Jenny Simmons of Houston. Geneva was a long time compliance officer for OSHA and retired in 1990. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff and residents of Clarewood House. A visitation will be held Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 5-7pm in Houston at Heights Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Clarewood House, 7400 Clarewood Dr., Monday, September 27, 2010 at 10:30am. Visitation in Dallas will be at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Boulevard, from 6-8pm on Monday, September 27. A Chapel Service will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 11am at Grove Hill Funeral Home with interment to follow in Grove Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Geneva’s name may be made to the Lions Eye Bank of Texas.
