Gene Alfred Love

Mr. Gene Love, of Houston, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 17,2023, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Love was born February 21,1935, in Selma, Alabama to Sam and Doris Love. Gene was a longtime resident of Houston, Texas. Gene was a supervisor for the Westinghouse gas turbine repair division.

Gene enjoyed spending time in his workshop and making his wooden toys. Mr. Gene Love was preceded in death by his parents; Sam and Jean Love; his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara and brothers, Wade Love of Houston, TX and Noel Love of Alabama. He is survived by sons, Glen Love and wife Belinda Love of Jersey Village, TX, Gary Love of Houston, TX. and daughters, April Fontana and husband Scott Fontana of Houston, TX, Teri Quick and husband Jimmy Quick; Grandchildren Krystal Love Hoyer, Nicole Countryman, Travis Quick, Brent Love, Heather Ayoub, and Amber Brown. Great grandchildren, Kamryn, Lily, Piper, Ella, Hudson, Olivia, Harper, Clayton, Parker, and Easton.

Gene was an honorable, Husband, Father, and friend, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 25, 2023, in the chapel at Memorial Oaks located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Katy, TX. 77079 followed by a committal service at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
