Genaro E Diaz

He was born in Corpus Chirsti, Texas on 27th of June, 1926. After graduating from high school, he served in the Coast Guard/Merchant Marines during WWII. After his service, he continued to live a full life; traveling the world and pursuing many humanitarian efforts ranging from feeding children in Africa to helping with senior citizens. During his travels, he met Mother Theresa, saw India, and visited many other parts of the world. Though, despite his travels, he was still very active in the local community as well; being a part of the Blue Angels Organization in Corpus Christi. During his spare time, he enjoyed more leisurely pursuits; several of which, such as his fondness for fishing, centered around his love for beaches and water. Though an outdoorsman, when he wasn’t outside gardening, out in Red Rose, or at one of the myriad parks that he frequented, he stayed inside and enjoyed the finer programming of the History Channel, classical music, and watching westerns with his dog Pinto.

He was preceded in death by his sons Genaro Diaz Jr, Gregory Diaz.

He is survived by his daughters Maggie Diaz Sharp, Maricella Diaz Posada and Johnny R, as well as Mary Ann Diaz Alvarado and Nicolas.

His three sisters: Margaret Diaz Luna, Carmen Diaz Flores and Ramon, and Maria Diaz Dabouis.

His grandchildren: Denise Farmer, Rachell Bird, Shane Jones, Ryan Evans, Anna Evans, Benny West, Magdalena Diaz, Melissa Ochoa and George, Paula Gowens and Jimmi, Michelle Martinez, Alicia Avina, Yolanda Avina, Nicolas Alvarado Jr, Steven Alvarado, Jeannette Ramirez and Oscar, Victor Mora, and Dayna Marie Diaz,

His great grandchildren: Andrew, Marco, Alexus, Joshua, Christopher, Aiden, Levi, Ezekiel, Roman, Tomas Jr, Kylie, Jacob, Lorenzo, Babella, Gabriella, Daniella, Carmella, and nine other great grandchildren as well as his seven great-great grandchildren.
