Frank Raymond Sr.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am to 12 noon on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Garden Oaks Funeral Home, 13430 Bellaire Blvd. Houston, TX. 77083.

He attended Capital Senior High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As a responsible father he moved his family to Houston, Texas where he knew that he could earn an honest living and provide for his family.

One of his famous quotes was, “Use your common sense and figure it out”. More importantly, he showed his children that you can make it in this world if you just worked. As a son, husband and father, he also showed us how to be kind, loving and responsible—until someone pushed you too far.

While he worked as a machinist and warehouse manager for the Houston Fasteners Corporation. He always enjoyed helping his family and friends.

At some point in his life, he experienced and enjoyed: helping people, fishing, golfing, deer hunting, dancing, playing card games, cooking barbeque, shooting pool, motorcycle riding, riding his lawn mower and tractor, welding, fixing vehicles, and building and repairing houses. One of his passions was driving taxi-cabs. Frank was a jack of all trades, and he mastered them all.

He received trophies for shooting pool and motorcycle riding. Frank was always a cowboy that never rode a horse.

Frank Raymond Sr. is preceded in death by his mother Gertrude Wilson and father Henry Raymond (which he referred to as a rolling stone).

Frank is survived by wife Esther Raymond whom he loved and cherished and enjoyed life with.

• Spouse and Mother-of-Offspring: Esther Raymond with biological-son Troy Raymond and grandchildren: Kazmira Cheatham and (step-Kierra Lee), Shawn Ecroyd, Timothy Ecroyd (deceased), Alexis Ecroyd, Erica Byler; step-son Steven Ray and Peggy Childress and step-grandson Malik Rice; step-daughter Cheryl and Charlie Olison and step-grandchildren: Charlisha Olison-Grice, Catressa Olison, Canedra Olison, CC Olison-Browning, Charlie Rachel Olison.

• His first Spouse and Mother-of-Offspring: Mildred Raymond with biological-son Frank Raymond Jr. and grandchildren: Allison Raymond, Lance Raymond, Joshua Raymond, Samuel Raymond; biological-son Ricky E. Raymond; biological-son Steven Raymond and grandchildren: Dexter and Laticia Raymond (great-grandson Jase Raymond), Jascha Alexander, Gabriella Raymond.

Although there are several people that loved Frank Raymond Sr. that are not listed below, the family of Frank Raymond Sr. would like to acknowledge and thank the following relatives and close friends: his best friend LV Austin aka, “Shorty”, cousin-Jennet Rose, cousin-Bennie Stuart, cousin-Debbie Stuart cousin-Amy Hunter, cousin-Daisy Hunter, Mose Ivy, Jessie Ivy, Joyce Harper, Lilly, (in-laws) mothers and fathers of his children and grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.

Frank Raymond Sr. loved us all—even with our faults, problems and drama!!!
