Gene was born December 12th 1931, in Dallas, TX. He was raised in Houston, TX and attended Mirabeau B. Lamar H. S. After graduating he joined the US Navy and served with distinction on the USS Randolph during the Korean War as an aviation electronics Tech Third Class, USN-1 and was honorably discharged February 7th, 1955.
On his departure from the military Gene met, fell in love with and married Cecile “Willa” Vice. They were married on April 30, 1955. In 1960 Gene was awarded a Bachelors Degree in Business from Southwest Louisiana Institute and soon after moved his family to the community of Bellaire, TX, where they purchased their first home and resided for 44 years; subsequently moving to Sharpstown in Houston, TX and living for 8 years and finally to Alleyton, TX, residing in a cottage next to Gail and Ignacio Sanchez.
A man of strong faith and compassion Gene was a valued parishioner, serving as an usher at Holy Ghost Catholic Church for over three decades. Additionally, he was a volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital and an active member of the Lions Club in subsequent years. He enjoyed working in his garden and using his power tools for projects and crafts.
Frank Eugene Hall was truly blessed, spending his Golden Years in the embrace of his loving wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and an extended family of friends surrounded by love.
Gene was reunited with his loving wife Willa, parents Frank Eugene Hall, Sr. and Mary Leola Smith and sister Charlotte.
His surviving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are Jennifer & Randy Fly, Randy Paul & Nancy, Christopher & Michelle Fly and Cartrell , Paige, Maddie and Toby; Cynthia &Bill Brock; Andrea, Eryn, Bob Elliot; Hannah and Sean; Mark & Sheryl Hall; Mark Jr, Rene Hall; Ashley & Kyle; Gail & Ignacio Sanchez; Ignacio Jr.; Katie & Albert Miniel; Nicholas, Jesse and Sophia; nephew Carl Bell; goddaughter Lisa Tusk.
Father Andrew Meiners will be conducting Mass at Holy Ghost Catholic Church at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 9, 2017. Following grave side services there will be a reception at Cynthia and Bill Brock’s residence.
Pall bearers will be Mark Hall, Randy Fly, Randy P. Fly, Jr. Christopher Fly, Ignacio Sanchez and Bill Brock
