Frank John Berrier Jr.

Dr. Frank John Berrier, Jr., 75, of Spring, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021. He was born on September 6, 1945, in Newport, Rhode Island. Dr. Berrier was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He graduated Cum Laude in Sociology and Education from St. Anselm College. He continued his education over the years and earned his doctorate in both Health Care Management and Psychology.

Dr. Berrier was an Executive Director of the Professional Standards Review Organization. In 1990, Dr. Berrier founded Spectrum Review Services, Inc, a highly successful medical management company located in Spring, Texas, where he served as the CEO & President until he retired in 2015.

Dr. Berrier thoroughly enjoyed traveling around the world, whether it be for work or pleasure. He had a love for learning that never ended and was always taking on new challenges. He once wrote, “It seems that one piece of the puzzle leads to another, and before you know it, you are hooked!” Dr. Berrier was a member of the National Social Sciences Association and the National Association of Healthcare Quality Professionals.

Frank and his spouse thoroughly enjoyed making their house a home by filling it with tokens from their many travels, gardening and not to mention their many pets over the years. Frank was affectionately known as “Grampy” by his grandchildren, and took great pleasure in spoiling family during the holidays.

Frank Jr. is preceded in death by his son, Sean Daniel Berrier, and his spouse Ernest C. Munshower. He is survived by his children, Frank J. Berrier III, Jennifer Joan Berrier; his grandchildren: Codey M. Rogers, Joseph D. Berrier, Jonathan D. Berrier, Jesus M. Quinones V, Alexander R. Berrier, and two great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Frank will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A funeral service will occur Friday, March 5, 2021 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Friday, March 5, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
