Felix DeLeon Ruiz

Felix Deleon Ruiz, age 85, of La Porte, Texas passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022. He was born in Victoria, Texas November 23, 1936 to Pablo and Felisitas Ruiz DeLeon. He was married to Marcelina C. Ruiz on April 14, 1958 and by church on April 20, 1958.

Felix had a love of driving and had a career as a dump truck driver 45 years and also worked in the painting business with his son for many years as well. He had a passion for taking lots of pictures and the love of family and friends.

Felix is survived by his children, David (Michele), Dolores (Melvin), Estelita (Israel), Mercedes (Mark), Darlene (Forrest); 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marcelina C. Ruiz; parents, Pablo and Felisitas Ruiz; brothers, Tomas & Joe Ruiz; sisters, Josephine Ruiz De La Garza, Ramona Hernandez, Victoria Molina, and Luisa Naranjo.

A visitation for Felix will be held Monday, April 4, 2022, at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM, at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.

A graveside service will occur Monday, April 4, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
