December 25, 1937. He departed from this earth Father’s Day, June 16, 2024 at the age of 86 years
old, quietly, in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family.
He was the 6th child of Emma and Cain Jarmon. Dubbed “Little Daddy” among his siblings, he
was known for bringing chaos to order in the family- a characteristic that served him well throughout
his life. He attended and graduated from Randolph High School in La Grange, TX. He moved to Houston
in 1958 where he spent the rest of his days.
After moving to Houston, he secured a position at Hempel Coating and was later promoted to
Foreman where he worked until he retired. He met, fell in love with, and married Bethola Yancy
on February 2, 1963. Their union resulted in 62 years of faithfulness, love, and friendship. They
were very proud to be a part of a family including 4 children, 4 grandchildren, and 4 great-grand-
children.

leadership of Rev. Samuel H. Smith, Rev. J.W. Ross, Rev. J.C. Vandyke and is laid to rest under
Rev. Dewayne Qualls Sr. He was a Deacon, and later chairman of the Deacon Board, Superin-
tendent of Sunday School, and Treasurer of the Church. He was the leader of the Men’s Brotherhood
Chapter, member of the Puritan District, and was a member of the Men’s Choir.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching sports with his family and friends, and
spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be remembered as a devoted father, a loving grandfather, and a patient
great-grandfather. He was an amazing listener and judge of character and gave
great advice. We could not have asked for a better patriarch and leader of our
family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
