She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Nicolas P. Sauceda Sr.; brothers Cesario Gomez, Faustino Gomez, and Julio Gomez.
Eva is survived by her children Nicolas Sauceda Jr. (Vickie Sauceda), Rene Sauceda (Anita Sauceda), Elida Meinhardt (David Meinhardt), Olga Sauceda, and Alma S. Garza (Roel Garza Sr.); grandchildren Christopher Meinhardt, April Meza, Daniel Meza Jr., Lauren Sauceda, Corene Cavanagh, David Meinhardt Jr., and Ariel Garza, Roel Garza Jr.; 10 great grandchildren; sisters Anna Gomez, Gloria Morales, Emily Gomez, Elena Gomez, and Dixie Tamboro.
Serving as pallbearers are Chris Meinhardt, David Meinhardt Jr., Daniel Meza Jr., Roel Garza Jr., Isaiah Shelton, and Leandro Caceres. Serving as honorary pallbearer Roel Garza Sr.
A visitation for Eva will be held Friday, November 11, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home. A graveside service will occur Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
