Eugene H. Johnson went to be with the Lord on May 26,2019. Eugene was born in Austin, TX on February 27,1922. His family later moved to Kilgore, TX and then to Houston, TX where Eugene would live the remainder of his life. Eugene married his wife, Betty L. Johnson and had six children. They were married 65 years. Eugene was a kind and gentle man who loved to work with his hands, he attended University of
Houston to obtain his electrical license and worked as an Electrician his entire life. He was proud of his Swedish heritage and his service in WWll. Eugene served his country in the South Pacific Jungle Air Force L3th division from 1941 to 1945. Eugene was a member of Park Place Baptist Church for 60 + years, a Christian and put his faith and trust in Jesus and is now in his eternal home and reunited with his loved ones. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty L. Johnson, son, George H. Johnson, daughters, Betty Jean Jordan and Sandra K. Merchant. Eugene is survived by his daughters, Annette Barclay, Nancy Trest, and Marilyn Wood. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
