Ernesto Lopez

Ernesto was born October 8th, 1973 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Raul Lopez and Esperanza Martinez, and has resided in Houston, Texas since 1975. He was an altar boy in the 80s, performed his first communion and confirmation at St. Anne Catholic Church where he would also attend. Ernesto enjoyed spending time with his family and was described as a friend to all. One of his biggest passions was to tailgate and watch the Texans NFL team play. He had continued this tradition with his only son since he was about 4 years old.

Ernesto's most recent passion was his ranch “The Wheel, Tatis Ranch", where he'd love to spend his time most. These past 4 years, he has created beautiful memories every weekend with his family here as well. He dedicated his time to "The Wheel" building it from the ground up and has now left a legacy for his family to carry on.

Ernesto was preceded in death by his parents. He now leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years, Estela Marquez; children, Daisy, Cindy and Ernest Lopez; brothers, Saul, Facundo, Alfredo, Juan and Ruben Lopez; sisters, Arminda, Maria, Rose Mary, Maria del Carmen, Beatriz Lopez; and cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Ernesto was the most loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend that anyone could ever have. He will now be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held 5:00PM to 8:00PM on Thursday, December 15th, 2022 in the chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home located at 13001 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas 77079.

The mass of the present body will be held 10:00AM Friday, December 16th, 2022 at St. Anne Catholic Church located at 2140 Westheimer Rd Houston, TX 77098.
