Elvira Flores

Elvira C. Flores, age 78, went to our Lord on September 3, 2014. She was born in Houston, TX to Enrique and Virginia Carranza on May 27, 1936. Elvira was a lifetime resident of Houston, and was a devoted business owner, who's passion was creating embroidery. Elvira and Gilbert Flores, Sr. were married on March 17, 1956 and spent over 30 wonderful years together.

Elvira was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Gilbert, and beloved sister Stella Flores. She is survived by her sons Gilbert Flores, Jr.(Mary) and Richard Flores; daughter, Virginia Gonzales (Eddie); grandchildren, Richard Martinez, Sr., Gilbert Flores III, Stephanie Ann Suarez, Joseph D. Suarez, Jr., and Robert J. Flores; great-grandchildren, James Flores, Richard Martinez, Jr., Triniti M. Suarez, Christian Martinez, Alyssa Martinez, Jada Suarez, Jadyn P. Suarez, Robert J. Cortez III, and Isabella A. Cortez.

A visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 5:00-9:00pm, with an Evening Service being held at 7:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 2:00pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, with interment immediately following.
