He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn; son Danny Meek and Wife Rhonda Meek; daughter, Paula Henthorn and husband John Henthorn; Grandchildren, Tyler Henthorn, Kaylin Meek, Michelle Henthorn, Karis Meek, Aidan Meek, and Kristen Henthorn; brother, Donald Meek and wife Nadine Meek; and Brother-in-law Dean Ridgway.
He was preceded in death by his father Roy Meek, mother Ermine Meek; Brother Kenneth Meek and wife Billie Meek; and Sister Merle Ridgway.
Elton was a wise, loving family man who always took care of his loved ones. He served in the Air Force and became a foreman at Texsteam for 36 years. After retirement, he became a gifted woodworker. He loved fishing and watching the Astros, but mostly spending time with family and his grandchildren. He was an excellent role model and brought much laughter to everyone.
