Edward Leo Clark, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 21st, 2017. He was born August 30th, 1927 in Buffalo, New York to Marie and Leo Clark, the first of three children. He attended St Joseph’s Christian Brothers High School and University of Detroit for Chemical Engineering.
He served in the U.S. Army during world War II. He married Patricia with whom he had seven children. His family was his greatest source of pride and he was a devoted and loving father. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always positive. He was kind to everyone. He was very involved in Boy Scouts and volunteering for Muscular Dystrophy and made sure all his children and the boy scouts went to MD Camp in the summers as volunteers. His deep Catholic faith defined his life and was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was always of service to those around him until he was unable to get around anymore.
He was married for 62 years and survived is by, his wife, Patricia; his sister, Mary Eberhard; and six of his seven children: son, Joseph Clark and wife, Susan; daughter, Paula Flowers and husband, George; daughter, Anne Mallett; Michael Eggert surviving husband of daughter, Marry Eggert; son, Michael Clark and wife, Betsy; daughter, Maureen Kinnick and husband, Patrick; and son, Kevin Clark and wife, Cokie. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; Kelly, and Kevin, Kristen and husband, Jon; Brant and wife, Lucy; Emily, Rockne, Clark, Alex, Allison, Stephen, Danny, Nile, Andrew, Sam, Conner, Hayden, and one great-grandchild, Augustine.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Eggert; brother, Robert Clark; and grandbaby, Joshua Kinnick.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25th, at 7:00 pm with Rosary at 7:30pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church located at10330 Hillcroft St, Houston, TX 77096. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 26th followed by a reception at Prinster Hall at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Internment to follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
