Dorsey Mae is preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life for 63 years, William "Bill" Alexander and son, Bill Alexander, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Nichols, son, David Alexander and wife Darcey; grandchildren, Michael Thompson and wife Rosa, Travis Thompson and wife Darci, Christopher Alexander and Brian Garrie, Tyler Bauer and wife Lauren, Isaiah Alexander, and Noah Hoth; great grandchildren, Evan, Jordyn, Keira, and Korra; sister Thadine Johnston and husband Jon, brother Charles Swindler and wife Michael Ann; sister-in-laws Nelva June McWilliams, Alma Alexander and Regina Alexander, brother-in-law Ralph Howes and Many dear nieces, nephews and friends.
Dorsey Mae loved the Lord and her church Holy Cross Lutheran. She was employed by Spring Branch Independent School District for 38 years as a special education bus driver and in the transportation office.
She had been a resident of Legacy at Long Meadow. We will always be grateful for the dedicated care they gave. She loved them all.
Visitation with the family was held on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road, Houston, TX 77055. Funeral services were held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 21, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with The Reverend Jim Berggren officiating. Burial followed in Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
