Dorothy Frances Propes

Dorothy was born in Brenham, Texas on September 5, 1942, to Billie and Mary Murski, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from Jeff Davis High School, and over a period of time earned two years of college credit at the University of Houston. Dorothy married the love of her life, Sammy, in 1967. They were happily married for 49 years, and were only separated by Sammy's death in 2016. Dorothy and Sammy had one son, Greg. Dorothy chose to stay at home and raise her son. She was wholly devoted to her husband and son, as they both were to her.

Dorothy was a quietly strong and fiercely intelligent woman. Dorothy loved spoiling her grandchildren, rooting for the Astros, solving brain-teaser puzzles, reading art history books, watching Fox News, and collecting shoes, Waterford crystal, and any other number of things.

Dorothy is survived by her son Greg and daughter-in-law Stefanie, her grandchildren Ben, Abby Grace and Charlotte, her brother Ray and sister-in law Terri, her brother Ed and sister-in-law Carol, her brother Billie and sister-in-law JoAnn, her sister Regina and brother-in-law Steve, her brother Robert and sister-in-law Denise, her sister-in-law Cindy, and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a faithful servant of the Lord, and she is now reunited with Sammy in heaven.
