Donna Frances Buchanan

On Sunday, January 27, 2019, Donna Frances Buchanan, loving mother of four, passed away at the age of 83. Donna was born on April 27, 1935, in Houston, Texas, to Florence and Olan Willis. She graduated from Reagan High School in 1953. She married David Wallace Buchanan and together they raised four children. Donna worked in finance and the legal and political field until she settled into commercial property management for PM Realty Group, where she worked until she retired. Among her many interests were coordinating hospital volunteers at Parkway Hospital and reading; however, her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially with her grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as “Grand Donna.”

Donna was preceded in death by her husband David, her parents, Olan F. Willis and Florence and William Uhrick, and her brothers Hank Willis and Fred Willis. She leaves behind to mourn her passing her children, Michael Buchanan and wife Cynthia, Mischael Webster, Patricia Lanning and husband Matt, and Melissa Demeris; grandchildren, Sarah Mitschke and husband Drew, Courtney Demeris, Alexis Lanning, Caitlyn Demeris, and Addison Lanning; great-grandson, Carter Mitschke; sister, Pat Kilpatrick; brother, Paul Uhrick and wife Carolyn; sister-in-law, Bette Willis; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m., at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
