Donald Carl Sapp

Donald Carl Sapp was born on August 5, 1930 and passed away May 10, 2012 peacefully with his wife of 55 years at his side. Mr. Sapp was raised in Sulpher, Louisiana and Houston, Texas. He and his wife moved to Rockwall, Texas to be near his daughter, Deborah and family. Donald also leaves behind 3 sons: David, Victor and Carl. He spent 5 years in the United Sates Navy and received and “Honorable Discharge”. A major part of his life was spent in show business ans music promotion. He worked with Elvis, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley and many others. A little later, with the help from his family, Don found the Lord and went into his ministry to date. His main love was his wife, his family and the Lord Jesus Christ. Don is preceded in death by his mother, father and twin brother, Russell. Left to cherish his memories: loving wife, Betty Sapp; sons: David, Victor and Carl Sapp; daughter, Deborah Rushing; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and brother, Richard Sapp. Visitation will be Sunday, May 13th from 5-8Pm. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm, Monday, May 14th at Brookside Family Chapel. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
