Donald G. Prather, entered into rest on May 24, 2013 at 9:40 p.m. in the Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood, Texas. He was born on July 9, 1934 in Ochelata, Oklahoma to George Louis and Agnes Anderson Prather and spent his youth in and around Ochelata and Skiatook, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Peggy Sue Bennett Prather, son Jimmy Conway and granddaughter Brittney Conway, son Ronald Dean Prather and his two sons Donald Early and John Louis, a daughter Cheryl Lynn and husband Carl Egelseder and her two sons Jeremy and Kris Kilough and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brother-in-law Butch Bennett, sister-in-law Jerrie K. LeCompte, brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Glena Prather, sister-in-law Zelda Prather and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son David Louis Prather, and one brother Gwin D. Prather.
Military graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery with Pastor Milton Pool, First Assembly of God, Humble, officiating
