He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was employed by Jorgensen Steel for 42 years. Upon retirement, he moved to Moulton, Texas where he enjoyed farming and raising cattle. A great storyteller, he loved to laugh and make others laugh.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Dagley, his son David Dagley and his daughter Barbara Cain. He is survived by his daughter Donna Rayborn, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM in The Stateroom at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman Street, Houston, Texas 77018. Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.
