Donald Maxwell Callaway, 83, was born November 2, 1933 in Houston, Texas and passed away January 31, 2017 in Houston, Texas.
Don attended Allen Military Academy, Texas A&M University and the University of Houston. He served 2 years 11 months and 20 days in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his father Eli Callaway, mother Pauline Callaway and son Steven Callaway. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Margaret Juanita Callaway, two children Jeff and Cheryl Callaway, two grandchildren Sara Ross and husband Patrick, Steven Callaway and three great- grandchildren William, Emma and Eli.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Advantage Howard Glendale Funeral Chapel, 1015 Federal Rd. Houston, Texas 77015. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 am at Old River Terrace United Methodist Church, 16102 East Freeway Channelview, Texas 77530. Interment will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Advantage Howard-Glendale Chapel, Houston, TX.
