Donald Ray Bynes

Donald Ray Bynes, Sr.,83. beloved husband, father and pawpaw passed away on March 16, 2011. He was born on August 1, 1927 in Englewood Colorado and relocated to Houston in 1939. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Jo, son Donald and son-in-law, Joe Guerinot and dogs Fred and Sam. He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, JoAnn Guerinot, Diane Schillaci and husband Frank; Barbara Hogue and husband Wayne and grandchildren: Barbara, Christopher and Zachary Guerinot; Evan and Hannah Schillaci and Charles, Ryan and Emily Hogue; brothers: Ronald Bynes and wife Betty and Robert Bynes and wife Gayle; numerous nieces and nephews as well as his beloved dog, Buddy. Don was a WWII Navy Veteran; former Texas A&M Aggie and retired engineer from the Texas Highway Department who enjoyed working on his farm near Gonzales, Texas. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held graveside at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 21 at Forest Park Cemetery. In lieu of customary remembrances the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to the animal shelter of your choice.
